I admire this guy, not because he almost has the same surname as I am, came from the same province as my parents, or he's filipino, but because his pictures are just crisp and awesome!!

Here's an example of his pic:

It's as if you're a God, giving me such blessings and gifts ^^

I read here about a contest, how do we enter? I like how it's divided into parts where it gives you tips about lighting.. to be honest, I suck at flash photography.. this will help.

I would choose ten finalists and forward their URL's to a special celebrity judge who has already graciously agreed to choose the final five, in order.

i don't think it has started or he has sponsors yet. if any things you would most likely post the URL in the comments or maybe he's have an email for you to submit your work.

the only about flash is that the setting you have on your camera is the same as on the flash.

damn you have Nikon you can go wireless with commander mode and Nikon flashes are cheap too. this how that got that photo to look like that fake lighting with flash most like pointed up and he bounced it off the ceiling. i doubt that he brought in these people and set up a studio too difficult.

for example: http://strobist.blogspot.com/2007/06/video...kini-shoot.html Video: Two-Speedlight Bikini Shoot

and NO she does not have big boobs or curvy body, sorry! LOL

incredible vid.. I guess he knows his geometry! I'm still saving money for a better gear such as the flash and a bigger lens, but for now.. study photography skills.

Speaking of Filipino Photographers,I just got a copy of the latest Vice magazine and there was an article on a photographer named Richard Arturo De Guzman aka "Bahag". He documents life in a Metro Manila cemetery, where people worked and due to insane real estate prices actually live . Despite all that poverty these people are all smiles and seem really happy to invite the photographer in to their homes which are literally the mausoleums. Gotta love the Filipino spirit lol.
