this is tuba... when it gets a day old..it becomes sour and is then called bahalina.
tuba can come from the coconut, nipa or other palm sap. when the sap is distilled it becomes lambanog.


ginebra the ordinary man's gin. mix with pomelo juice. *tada* ginpo! better than a vodka mixed drink.


now this kick @$$ rum is hella unforgettable. it smells and tastes like rubbing alcohol.
i thought it was disgusting by i actually enjoyed it when the fishermen from our countryside town forced it on me .


theres also san miguel's vintage cerveza negra. it was actually discontinued for a long time, but it surprised me to see theem sold in jersey city's local alcohol store. it tasted perfect just like guinness stout beer.

and lastly theres Shoktong! its suppose to be introduced by the chinese. i havent tried it and i cant find a pic either.

and I didn't like the taste..
I vomited...
horrible experience...

I still think ;until today its the cause of my peptic ulcerr...

Its taste like Tequila, but stronger. The strongest Lambanog I know was like 161 proof and gives u that ice headache feel.

Tuba is actually pretty weak in alcohol content, it does taste nice and sweet. One of my fav!

Guinness is OK but not my cup of tea and I certainly wouldn’t swap a bottle of San Miguel for a pint of Guinness.

hahaha. a lot of people dont go for dark. as they say..once you go black, you never go back. as for the price. thats why this is considered a vice...prices dont really matter. but theres talso another super cheap beer from china, tsing tao (pronounce: jing dao) i think it tastes better than our sanmig pilsen. its perfect for sake bomb! banzai!

I concur plus guiness is like a meal by itself hahaha. There are days though when a nice smooth San Miguel/Corona just hits the spot. If you can find it I recommend you try Sleemans (Canadian), my personal favorite is Honey brown, its one of the best tasting beers I have ever had.
