Full Version: Are you happy with your pay
Anyone post this thread before,..How many of you are infact happy with what you are getting......or you gotta do part-time work?....Any suggestion for improvement?

Could be much better. I took a lower paid job because it was closer towards my goal. Oh well, gotta be far sighted.
Currently trying to invest in myself. Picking up new skills along the way.

make really good money but i want more, and more, and more!!
Could be happier, but I'm alright. No complaints. 
salary is livable...im just tooo damn expensive to satisfy!! LOL... i get commission also so thats play money i can use...!!! yeay!!!

Nope. Could definitely be happier if I made more. 
16 hour engineering type workdays (somedays more), everyday except every other sunday... At the end of the month you get 2500 bucks after taxes... You do the math..

As for me, I'm okay for a college student, I make $13 an hour (I'm full time) but I better get at least a double paying job when I graduate. Some of my friends didn't go to college and they make a lot more than me.

I'm attending university and working part-time at a cosmetics/skincare products shop. It's minimum wage, but I hope I'll still be sticking around for another few months. Just for the experience and all.

You doing a turnaround or something? I had to work something like that last summer, but the pay was like whoa!
Same type of deal, 12-16hrs per day and every 14th day was a fatigue day. So anything after 40 hrs was 1.5x time and 7th days were 2x time. Could not go wrong with being houly back then.....Even with the ~30% taxes I was getting hit with, I was still making crazy loot!
Too bad I'm salary now
But to answer the question, I guess I could alway use more money but I doubt that it could make me happier. Though I'm satisfied what the amount I'm making, I won't settle and will keep advancing the career.

Haha nope military work hours while we're underway... Keeping the electricity running on a 40+ year old warship ain't easy...
