Vientiane, July 12 (VNA) - The Ministry of Communications, Transport, Post and Construction of Laos and the Ministry of Information and Industries of China have agreed to cooperate in developing telecommunication and information technology (IT).
An agreement of cooperation was talked over on July 7 at a Laos-China conference in Vientiane, during which the two sides informed each other of telecommunication and IT developments in their respective countries, reviewed their previous cooperation plan and discussed prospects for IT exchange.
They then signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on telecommunication and IT cooperation.
The MoU covers the promotion of telecommunication and IT cooperation, telecommunication infrastructure construction, human resource development, telecommunication and IT development research and improvement of Laos' investment environment for IT investors.--Enditem
