Tell me what you guys think.

http://www.javelinrecords.com/index.html

Here's some youtube music videos.

Sit - Chett Prokan
Van Seyla - Bra tnaa
Srey Much - Vibath Sneah

For original works, not bad I say.

hm i dont really like it..the girl doesnt look that good and her voice hurts my ears, they dont look like typical pop idols, unless we enter the asian music scene and have decent vocals, lyrics and composing, there isnt really any new standard...
Goombaking209
There are a lot of pop star idols who are actually average in looks. Makeup really helps them look better so I don't think they are lacking much in the looks department - Personally I don't really care for looks on the most part, since I listen to the songs.

How can we enter the Asian music scene if the songs are uninspired and unoriginal? Originality and professionalism comes first before everything else. And what standard was there in Cambodian music prior to Javelin Record trying to set one?

Oh, this guy sounds good. And you know Goomba, how I always say how crappy Khmer singers are lol, so this is something.

The second video, Seyla Van, don't like his voice. Is it just me, or did they use voice modifier on his voice? O.O

They're good/okay, but I wouldn't say they are revolutionary. The songs are too mushy for most people.
Goombaking209
Yeah I thought there was something fishy about that Sela guy's voice in his song Pratna.

man to make it in the music scene, you have to have the talent and the looks to go along with it.

Hmm, yea thats true however our country is just recovering from crysis the moment, maybe in 40 years when cambodia is industrialised we will see better artists and cuter chicks in music videos haha.

Anyways its better to have music come out of cambodia since its more Influence by our neighbouring countries, we need more pop idols.
Those Javelin record guys look more like native americans than asians, anyways, check out the videos below, some songs are not original, but they have the idol thing going..well to be the best we gotta learn from the best so its all good...ps the chick in the second video is cute, kinda looks korean..

^ you heard of ROCK production? I love them! I hope they wipe out RHM as soon as possible.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uC1ITRp-kr0 - I like the sound of original Khmer songs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPHuQQI9xD4 - this guy, James, looks very pop-idol-ish .. and that girl Solinka is the same one who sung that song Yum men ch'aet

Oh yeah, Javelin Record vocalists are native Cambodian speakers. You can tell by the way they have trouble with singing in English.
