i think korean traditional stuffs are underrated,
especially since there are almost no pictures of korea in history textbooks in america,
you can almost sense that korean culture is pretty much unknown to most people outside korea
i think when i ask a foreigner about what he/she knows about korea, answer is that 1. they are asian, 2. they like to play computer games and shiet, 3. north korea is communist, 4. korea is a dirty place to live in, 5. korea is $hit compared to japan.

most white folks dont know anything about Asia in general. I think you are jumping the gun. I've lived here all my life korea vs japan comparison is mostly Japanese screaming because we are taking over their industries. We already overtook sony and japanese shipbuilding, stem cell research, biotech, etc.
