In terms of your likings, it could be what is better for the children or just that you wanna stay closer to your parents and to take care of the elders etc.

But what would u think the disadvantages of living in joint family are?
GentleWind
It depends on how strict your families are. Sometimes it could be hard to make a choice on your own.

Housekeeping issues

Uh huh. Alot of weird incestuous thoughts. Maybe not that. But it makes you squirm to see an old relative naked.

Lol
not really that, when my husband and i would be ready to get busy, i don't want the whole house to be aware of it embarassedlaugh.gif

if u know wat i mean.

Sometimes family can be the very cause of why a husband a wife break up, because sometimes they are constantly causing rifts between them when they live altogether. Because everyone is gonna try to get involved when there is an argument. But also the presence of the elders and children can help you to not get so steamed up.

But i like the fact that the children would be well taken care of.

do u live in 1?
Confuse
I don't live in one but my aunt and her family lived in one with her brother and his family. It worked out very well for them, they all bought a large house together, one family got the top half and one got the bottom half, and they paid off the house and just lead their own lives and talked amongst eachother. Then again they are very easygoing people.
