How to tell difference between asians?

Average height for men:

Filipinos 5'1"
Japanese 5'2"
Korean 5'3"
Chinese 6'2"

Any asian over 5'8" definitely Chinese.

But truthfully any asian with chest hair is Japanese. In Hawaii there are so many Japanese. I've never seen other asians that hairy. Good thing I'm not too hairy even though I'm Japanese, I don't want to look like a monkey.

I think i can tell the difference most of the time too, especially when they speak their own language, when other asians try to figure out what I am they always think I am filipina

You have hair on your chest? How about your back? Are you asian too? I saw this japanese guy with hairy back and chest on the beach one time and was pretty gross. Well I'm not saying it's a good or bad thing just curious cuz I never seen another asian except japanese with hairy chest. Not that I'm always looking at other guy's chest or anything

yeah, i have some hair on my chest. i'm only 20, but i can tell its spreading and by the time im 25 i'll probably be a werewolf. Dont really like being hairy, but i guess i cant help it.

Yep, I think you have more hair coming my friend. I think if you shave it will probably just come in thicker too. But I think some girls like hairy so you got that going for you. I remember reading about this Chinese guy who had some kind of disorder and he was covered with hair just like a werewolf (only palms and soles of feet had no hair) but apparently he had a nice girlfriend and was pretty happy with life.

this is where generalizations start coming into play

i can point something that most important in human's look development, base on the look alone theres two kind of human in this world, and chinese (i am chinese myself) don't fall into same catagory as korean and japanese

black (africans), South East Asian and Chinese are in the same group
while korean and white are in the same group

we chinese are more closely resemble south eat asian and black (african)
than korean
