Savan, i am surprised you like rap considering you seem to know music theory. Ever since i took theory classes, i started finding that any music with no instruments and no melodic value bored me. I hate music where there is nothing to analize. It is so mindless, just a beat, that anyone can throw together, and sure, it takes some talent to rap, but not alot. I like listening to music where the musicians have taken years and years to refine and hone thier skills into an instrument, to showcase thier talent, hardwork, and knowlegde of music.

Why must they taint the culture and subvert the minds of youth with such a hoodlum influence. Honestly, what do they find appealing of that life style?

And i find it quite funny that Gumby acts so ghetto, because he is tiny. Even compared to Alexandra he was small. And you know, if his raps were decent, i probably wouldnt even say anything, but he sucks....

listen to good hiphop then, most of the time the lyrics are metaphorical and in depth as fu-k, but thats if you avoid the radio. gumby is a generic rapper, those who support him either grew up like him or feel like they can relate to the music. honestly imo, the guys delivery and flow is garbage. even with a ghostwriter i dont think he can improve his flow.

Thep, most people cant listen to the music we listen to. I'm pretty sure that alot of people will get a headache listening to our kinda music.

Well of course, but i listen to anything that has muscial value. Doesn't matter what it is. Everything from Kelly Clarkson to Cannibal Corpse. I am not embarrassed of liking bubble gum pop either, but as a musician i find most mainstream music rather boring.

For me, maybe you're the same, i just mainly listen to the music not so much the lyrics. That's probably why i like some classical music and instrumental music.
