A Bronx sneaker store worker was clinging to life Saturday night after he was gunned down by a man who had been asked to leave the shop, cops and witnesses said.

Tim Kim, 21, was shot in the head and chest in the 5:45 p.m. attack at the busy Athlete's Foot at E. 188th St. and Grand Concourse in Fordham, police sources said.

"I was just looking at some sneakers when I heard the shots," said a 15-year-old boy shopping with his mother and teenage sister.

A worker at nearby AZ Gift Plus said, "It sounded like a Steven Seagal movie - pop, pop pop."

A police source said the shooter opened fire after arguing with Kim.

"This guy walks in. They get into an argument of some sort and when he asks him to leave he shoots him," the source said.

Kim, who lives in Norwood, was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition. Cops were still hunting for the gunman last night.

"We're trying to get a handle on what's happening," said Kim's ashen-faced brother as he rushed from the family's apartment to the hospital with a young girl. "I have no idea what's going on."

The shooting sent customers on the busy commercial strip running for cover.

"It was really chaotic," said shopper Dara Sean, 22. "People were running through the streets."

The crazed gunman who shot a 21-year-old Athlete's Foot employee in the head had been kicked out of the bustling store three times - but returned claiming he wanted to apologize, witnesses and cops said Sunday.

The shooter, who witnesses said appeared drunk, then asked if he could try on a jacket about 5:45 p.m. Saturday, a police source said.

"As he was pulling on the jacket, he takes his gun, shot the victim, dropped the jacket and fled," the police source said.

Tim Kim, who relatives said had asked the gunman to leave the store earlier in the day, was critically injured at the store at E.188th St. and the Grand Concourse in Fordham.

Kim was shot in the head and chest and was clinging to life Sunday night at St. Barnabas Hospital, where relatives were keeping a sad bedside vigil for the Bronx man who had dreamed of becoming a pediatric nurse.

"He was so smart and so talented," said his aunt Eunkyung Lee, 48, of Valley Stream, L.I.

Friends and relatives said Kim's interest in nursing came from growing up with a younger sister who is autistic.

His aunt said the victim and his parents have been active members of a Presbyterian church in Floral Park, Queens, where his father, Eunjong, is a church elder.

"He's very caring," said Kim's girlfriend, Kerrylee Ways, 18. "A real sweetheart."

Police were poring over the store's security videos in an effort to identify the gunman.

"He didn't deserve this," said Ways. "We know that he's going to be okay. If not, he'll be in a better place."

I think the shooter had an argument with one of the store employee and was asked to leave the store.

I just read about this last night on the daily news. He was actually 17. They thought he was 21 cause he was carrying his bro's ID. He dropped out of HS. He punched the guy earlier and threw him out of the store.. The shooter even called 911 to report a crime because of that lol but then decided to come back and solve it himself. The victim died last night.

Damn f--k all these thugs who are doing "chinese bashing" towards the Asian communities in NYC area. I am so sad to hear many MANY instances of hate crimes being perpetrated by black thugs against Asian store owners. Either these thugs are killing Chinese restaurant delivery people, slashes the wrists of Asian females in Chinatown, or now, gunning down Korean shoe store owner for being kicked out.

I bet this stupid @$$ thug was being a smart aleck to Mr. Kim. You know how they mouth off, or stand by the entrance way to the store to prevent customers from entering. Hence Mr. Kim got pissed off and punched the bejeesus out of the thug. Hence the faggot thug had to call police, and due to deep grudges and hatred, he had to pull the trigger on Mr. Kim. I hope this thug burns and rots in hell. Fags.

Why would this have to do with multiculturalism?

THEM KOREAN WORKERS ALWAYS HAVE THE ILLEST ATTITUDES WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I USED TO GOTO THAT SAME EXACT ATHLETES FOOT WAY BACK FOR JORDANS.
