Is there anyway you think this piece of land will transform into a prosperous zone?
With technology today in the world, anythings possible.
I'd like to see this vast land in inner Mongolia be used on a more economic prosperous zone.

I personally think there are many natural riches and resources not discovered within.

Its very hard to make make prosperity out of a huge desert. Then again the gambling capital of the world (Vegas) is a desert city, perhaps we can build 5 of those.

Israel turned good old deserts into prosperous farm lands.....then again....we dont need farm lands!!!

I personnaly think that the Taklamakan which is just west of the Gobi is a great and beautiful desert. I know China drills it for oil, so I wouldn't be suprised if they found natural resources of value in the Gobi. As far as transforming the Gobi into fertile farmland, I don't know, seems to massive and hard. Good dream do .

In Dubai they transforming desert into city, for the future investment. When they finish their oils one day move on to tourisim, not bad good thinking! how about Mongolians will just keep it as it is 1) no money to turn into anything else 2) people will be dying to see natural places like Gobi. So we'll just say hello and give a kiss and give lots of love & care and KEEP IT NATURAL.

We can do many things with the desert, drill for oil/ other natural resources or make solar panel fields to power entire areas.
