well u know the kulintang is an ancient insturment of the malay it traces to the hindu kingdoms of of the ethnic malay. and it was introduce to the inhabitants of the philippines who later adopt islam..... so wouldnt it be ok if the inhabitants of the philippines who adopted christian/catholic use the kulintang as well in their ceremonies? I mean even various indigenous lumad tribes also use the kulintang!!! what is the stance of this?

and has this happened yet among some Christian filipinos?
Ek-ek
No, I do not think so.

Some Christians even used it as part of their worship services.

Where pianos and guitars were scarce and hard to come by.

i dont see why not, i havnt heard of this kulintang before. its more of a cultural thing than religous. i dont see why christianscouldnt use it.
Ek-ek
Kulintang is a musical instrument.
arg357
yeh i kinda figuured that out thats y i dont see y christians cant use it aswel as muslims.

i think the christian practioners of the philippines should look to the muslims for their past because the muslim were able to preserve the culture not only religion from the spaniards and americans by fighting.... so it is not only their culture they preserve but also our own!

like i think it would be cool to learn from the moros and adopt from the aspects like kulintang etc!
Ek-ek
Yes, Some people are using them already.
