Well, I dunno, I lived in CA most of my life so I can't judge/compare
We're only the greatest state in the country.
pros: various climates, second most diverse state in the whole country, breath taking scenery, WE HAVE TEH GOVERNATOR
cons: the rest of the US hates us (jealousy), too many messy cans, polluted in some places

If you think california has a big variance in extremes, you should move some place else.... like Chicago- Arctic winters and hot muggy summers.
It's pretty much agreed upon that SoCal, along the coast, has the nicest weather arguably in the world. People who are use to it, just have to find something to b!tch about.

You're fricken kidding me. Just cause they own pho & nail joints in Artesia doesn't mean they live there. And there are very few Chinese or any Asians in Newport Beach- it's almost all White. Your sense of demographics and location is a little off tilt there, little girl. Irvine, which is next to NB has a large Chinese/Asian population. Aside from Irvine though, there aren't many Chinese in OC. There aren't too many of any Asians in OC besides Viets and Koreans- $hitloads, especially Viets.

I've never hung out in SD, but I hear it's peaceful, laid back, clean, safe, and expensive. Oh yeah, and unlike Canada, you get sunshine 12 months out of the year. I'd pick Diego over Canada in any regards.
Methinks all the AF'ers in or near the OC should have one big gay meet-up with a pot luck and all the awkward "oh-so-this-is-what-you-look-like-in-real-life" moments. And muthafuckin' karaoke.
