Cambodia Town, Long Beach, USA is now officially recognized and designated by the Long Beach City Hall. Hear its introduction by one of the city's council members. There were other Long Beach city council members who opposed the idea at the beginning, but the Cambodians never quit their objective and finally it paid off. Congrats to the Long Beach Cambodians.

One day I hope to visit the restaurant/club venue called Dragon House, in Long Beach California.
Every time I hear that song about that joint by Ch'hom Nimol, I think.... hey this must be a really cool place.

Do you consider yourself as exclusively Lao or Khmer? Here is why I ask you: I went to a clinic before and I met his one "Lao" person. He looks just like a typical Khmer person. He is tan, high bridged nose, deep set eyes, wavy hair, and tall. I naturally assumed that he is Khmer and said hello to him right away. He said that he didn't know much about himself. He only knows that he is always bilingual in both Khmer and Lao languages. I just nodded and accepted for what he is.

Perhaps he was a Lao Nyaw person whose family came from Cambodia? I believe Lao Nyaw are the Lao people living in Northern Cambodia.
