I personally think that this is very strange phenomena pretty sad for those mof u who have never heard of hikikomori it is a strange psychological problem which affects approx one million japanese boys and this only happens in japan what happens is the boy locks himself up in his room he sleeps in the day and wakes up at night usually playing video games or tv and this could go on for months but in alot of cases the boy can lock himself up for years without communicating with anyone except maybe their parents but they never see them they usually have little to no friends and their are a number of reasons why it happens some cases are more freaker than others and more extreme like their was this case where the boy just sits in his room naked with no lights on to read more about it follow the links

I've never heard about this things.

I think it's a big strange problem.

But, What are the japanese human structure doing??

Has anyone else heard of hikikomori?
It sounds alot like me.

Are you asking for my opinion. Well, the way I see is, when you have no need to go outside and such you just does what most near. I think Asian tend to be like that. You guy have a national sport and such, as well as martial traditions like Karate or Judo,... What do these people you mention look up to, well, maybe nothing so they just live like that. I heard Japanese have a very different psychology than those whom they consider outsider, whom will unlikely to understand. The way I think of Japan is, you can encounter someone who is extremely skillful and whom knowlegde is vast and you can encounter someone who is completely clueless and just live in theirs world.

It really makes you wonder.... I think this is a product of Japan's own doing.
