I'm sure you guys have heard about them before those dating simulation games from Japan. I played my first one i think a few months back through a friend. He introduced me into this genre which i did not really have much interest in (come on, who would think that reading texts is fun i'll rather play some porn game if i want to). But he introduced me some nice simulation games with good story lines and i got into this genre quite easily. Since them i have played several of them and i find that these three are the most pleasing to me.

These dating simulation games focus more on the storyline than just the sex. So if your looking for something to quech your thirst go look somewhere else

1. Crescendo



This was the best simulation that i've ever played. I really enjoyed the story and the interaction between each of the characters.

2. Snow Sakura



A less serious version of crescendo with more humor in it. Again i liked the interaction between characters here.

3. Yume Miru Kusuri (A Drug That Makes You Happy)



This one was quite thought provoking. It makes you ponder about the meaning of life.


I've played others such as bible black cos everyone on the web seemed to enjoy it but i found it $hitty and a waste of my time. It was some sex infested game with some lame @$$ story line. I recommend playing these games to you guys as i've enjoyed them and i'm sure you'll fall in love with this genre after completing them.

I recommend that you play these games when you get tired of hacking and slashing my way by smashing buttons. You can sit back and relax while you see how the choices you have made affects how the story unfolds.

All the games listed above are not dating simulations. They are visual novels. Those are two completely different genres. Visual novels are games that focus mainly on storyline and dialogue (like graphic adventure games), whereas dating sims are supposed to be stat-based games about building relationship points (sort of like an RPG, but without battles).

Popular anime series like Air, Kanon, Clannad, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Fate/Stay Night, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, etc. were all originally visual novels before they were adapted into anime series.
