Here are the details of the Pinto trainer jet that was cancelled by Pesident Estrada:

Technical Specifications

Aji Super T-610 Pinto

Constructor: American Jet You train

Type: Primary trainer two-seater and of slight attack.

First flight: Pinto 26 of March of 1956 / Super Pinto 28 of June of 1968

Power plant: A motor to reaction CJ610-4 of 1293 kg

Dimensions:

Spread (without fuel tanks) 9.14 ms

Length: 9.58 ms

Height: 3.48 ms

Wing area: 13.93 m2

Weights:

Emptiness: 1466 kg

Maximum when taking off: 2268 kg (without fuel tanks eave)

Benefits:

It sucks that people just dont want to fund local made inventions and we end up settling for these kind of stuff... We could have done some next level sht...

actually, i hate the government because they are favoring the Foreign inventions over the Local inventions... this is just a part of "brain drain", honestly Filipinos are smart, but the government don't support them icon_sad.gif

According to sources Eurocopter threatened to file a lawsuit if the hardwares were to push through...Estrada then ordered the project to be cancelled. Which, as I said, drove Capt. Villaruel to taking over a NAIA control tower.
