Most of Thailand's current problems I blame on a lack of proper society. Why is Singapore able to succeed wealthily while Thailand cannot? Sometimes I feel ashamed for Thailand causing stereotypes. I wish Thailand puts more focus on education and intellectual depth and less emphasis on materialism.

Too many of my fellow Thai youth care more about materialism and pop culture than academic and career success. It is disappointing to me. icon_sad.gif

We all Thai people should take responsibility to develop our nations,
By realizing our own duty and do it the best.
From smallest unit around us to the whole country unit.
I think I do my profession the best I can.

Materialism and pop culture is not that bad in my opinion.
Because these things can make us relax from work stress.
Too much stress from work is not good for our health, both physical and mental health.
Although our nation is well developed, but if we have to live in a stressful environment.
How can we enjoy our lives?

Sometimes we have to balance it properly.
To create the environment that we can work to our most capability without too much stress.

I feel like our country is progressing and improving comparing with the past.
It may grow slowly.
But I think it's okay because we Thai people can maintain our happiness living our lives.

Sorry for my poor english. embarassedlaugh.gif

Singapore is but an island and Thailand's greatest asset might be related to a smile, but that's just the start. Bring back Don Muang! beerchug.gif

The twisted hope for me on this issue would happen when the coup happen again. And the soldier decide to shoot every single politician down to dead instead of follow the legal system bring those crook to court . Then no more corupt badteeth.gif

if only there could be a unique blend of national socialism and a monarchy at the same time.

The abdication of the king and national socialism is the only way forward for thailand in my opinion.

HM is the longest reigning monarch on this planet. This is the year of his eightieth birthday, and also the year following, essentially His diamond jubilee. Would it be better that you take another twenty years to arrive at your conclusions?

Looks like you lived up to your name, halfempty. Thanks for hating the World in public for us all.
I'm sure that there are some people who really appreciate your honest opinion. Lessons cancelled.

Thailand should not be complacent. Otherwise, Vietnam will catch up and surpass Thailand in the near future.

have u ever heard about feudalism network in Thailand ?

they have been immense influence above Thai politics and business field so far.

Thai Politicians can't do anything if they didn't accept!

Sample : Bangkok have many people more than 10 million but its not mass transit system, why ? because they don't want to have it, if you checked list of company in Thai stock exchange you will find out the truth.

The day thailand decided on the pave of embracing confucius political philosophy and not absolute liberal democracy will be the day when thailand will thrive.Thai people needs to understand you cant have best of both world. Western believe in liberal democracy has cost them hundreds of billions of dollars and countless precious time and rapid decline in their society.time has shown the negative side of this form of democracy. During thaksin reign thailand enjoys a high FDI and from out of no where he was accused of corruption and was forced to eradicate from power. What thaskin is doing merely what is good for his country.

Liberal Democracy isnt for everyone. Singapore might be an island probably insignificant to some people in this forum but she has the ability to create shockwave throughout Asia and affect many nations. An island it maybe..if we look @ a point whereby singapore is a capital city of some state and looking at bangkok, capital of thailand. If you cant even handle a capital city let alone the whole country. Singapore national wealthy is more than double its size, its has significant international influence. In my humble opinion, should thailand hit a rough patch during her nationhood singapore could be a survivor and she could be the right antidiode to counter economic diseases in SEA
