it keeps saying picture is too large even though i have resized it many times.

Goto "My Controls"
Then click on "Edit My Avatar"
Under "Your image Avatar"
There is "Enter a URL to an online avatar image"
You can enter you Http:// (web address for your pics)
For an example, right click on someone avatar you like
then click on properties. In the dialog box you will see their http://
Lots of people use photobucket.
