i play MTG card game im in JSS league
and i have a counterspell + beatdown deck
if ur in a MTG luague maybe we can enter and play each other one day or go to FNM
tell me which one u play. computer or card

I play the card game, but only Magic Online now. FNM is full of racist/immature white boys, that's one of the reasons I don't play IRL anymore.

I'm assuming you plat T1/Extended? I'm really more interested in STD, because all I play is MTG: Online. Been thinking about making a Mono Black Deck. With Deathclouds, Solemns, Promise of Powers, Phyrexian Arena, Mox, Chittering Rats, Barter in Blood, etc. Something like that...my friend has been testing it and it does okay. He heasn't really played against Affinity with that deck yet. But I don't see a big problem, with Moriok Riggers, Emissary of Despairs, Disciple, lots of Artifact hate Black Cards

my friend has a burn deck. he likes to burn people with his burn deck

i have a black deck. i like to black people with my black deck.

when he burns the target's hitpoints, it decreases. when you black someone, you just need food coloring

hmmm...seems intresting and I might try it out sometime and be the first non-geek to play

i play all sorts of CCGs... but i dislike MTG.... i have no idea why though..

MTG is the epitomy of Trading Card Games. It's lasted for 10 years now and still stronger than ever, now with Kamigawa expansion. The balance in MTG is what makes it better than ever other TCG out there.

Omg this was so fun!! I used to play it 24/7 back in the days but stoped because i didnt want to spend money to keep updateing my cards. I used to play t2 back when tempest was t2...If you have the money and time, you should at least try it out. I used to play in JSS but again, there are alot of little white boys who talk their @$$ off thinking their the $hIt so i quite going.
PS: If anyone needs cards i can get you a good deal because my bro co owns The Lucky Frog ( a card store) You can see what they have at ebay and i think they have a site too.

I used to play it like 7 or 8 years ago I believe. But not enough people played, just me and my dad so i gave it up. Its actually pretty fun.

so what are the current decks that you are playing???

i currently play: (i'm a casual player so i guess i run type 1.5 )
1. monoblack control (i need to act better cards to make it better though)
2. slith/LD monored deck (basically the strategy is to attack with the slith and burn any blockers, and then let it keep growing.....and then i threw in some LD to slow the opponent down)
3. red/black reanimate/haste deck (basically i play cheap red creatures with haste and then if they die i just use raise dead/morgue theft/unearth to revive them and attack again....hey it works!)

but damn, i wanna make a blue/white control deck

damn, ravager affinity decks are hard to play against! and no, i'm not going to resort to making an anti-artifact deck because that's just stupid.....

EDIT: perhaps we can help each other by giving our deck lists and then giving some suggestions on how to fix it??? cool.... :genius:

Anyone here an experienced player? With knowledge as a serious player. I need someone to discuss with.

My old combo was:
Weatherseed Treefolk and Sneak Attack - that was a red/green deck btw

I have goblin burn deck which includes raging goblins and gobling grenades plus some other burns eg lightning bolt etc etc... Can usually take out a conventional player on20 life points under 5 turns

By my opinion of the best deck is not burn, counter or white protection.. but ground breaker. Green/Red ground breakers works the best, get some mana producing units such as Elves, not to such extent as getting priest of titanias tho (it'll slow you down), more like those that cost only 1 forest to cast and can produce 1 point of green mana when it taps. That way u can load up ur ground breakers such as Winter's Grasp and Stone Rain and just starting pelting away on the second turn. Try to get 4 avalanche raiders if it is possibile.

Speed is the key in almost every game and when constructing a deck always consider the ratio between cards' mana cost... too much 3 or 4 mana to cast cards aint goin to get a player too far...

All of the above were my 3yr experiences in magic

black lotus is restricted in DCI and stuff... arent they worth like 1000 bux? the only restricted card i ever owned was a couple of cursed scrolls and chaos orb.. does anyone kno y cursed scroll is restricted?

is curse scroll the card that deals dmgs to target players or creatures when the opponent reveals some card that you had named?

I dun play much card games now so my memory of particular details are fading away lol

damn, have any of you guys checked out the new set???? champions of kamigawa i think? it looks pretty cool and i checked out all the black cards in that set and they have more discard!!! (ex: distress!! it's like a duress but costs one more swamp mana....not bad!)

Yeah but black's only good cards are Distress and Cranial Extraction(basically the new and better lobotomy). I need some better cards for my DeathCloud deck

The set doesnt look that good. I forgot what thing i went to but it was at GMU a week or so ago but its where you draft or seal deck draft with the new sets. I did really bad because i had jank cards and those dam people kept on drawing their gay dragons, but other than that, soul shift dosent really do that great. But the acaine or something like that is crazy! Note: i didnt get the promo red dragon card for entering their seal deck draft because they ran out of them so if any of you ever go, go their early!!!

and speaking of addle, i prefer blackmail better.... addle may be more versatile but at least you can make the other person discard on first turn!!!
speaking of discard, i think hymn to tourach is the best discard card!!! damn, there's so many things you can do with dark ritual for first turn, such as playing a royal assassin any combination of duress, blackmail, tourach on the first turn!! hmmmm, i think i saw a dark ritual card for the red set.....it's called desperate ritual i think? but it costs one generic mana more...

The last thing you look at is color similiarity when it comes to likeness. Cranial is better because you literally remove all cards from hand, libarary and graveyard regardless if they have or not (like lobotomy.)

I hate blackmail. It's not very dependable. Hymn to Tourach is probbably the best discard spell ever created. Best discard creature would be Hippie (Hypnotic Specter).

I'm not into 1.5 so I can't really help you there. Serious T2 is where I'm at, sorry
