The Japanese have. Sorry, I'm practicing for my SAT. Sentence correction is a big thing, and AF is a wonderful place to practice embarassedlaugh.gif

Wasn't there a movie called Suicide Girls/Club? My friend mentioned it to me, I dunno if it's the same movie or not.

Perhaps you should read about the mentality of the samurai before spitting out such ignorance. The samurai were in certain respects "fanatical". However they were not suicidal people ready to simply throw away their lives for nothing. The teachings they followed were strongly against that.

the samurai were not suicidal. -_-;; They only killed themselves when absolutely necessary, not just do it for no reason.
JB_Xyooj
I know that....but why run away from your fear...if samurai was trian
to never run from fear...then why they run from the fear of losing the honor
didn't mean to hate on the samurai like that
cause i respect all da fallen samurai :coffee:

You can argue that Koreans are just as suicidal. 10,000(!) Koreans took their own lives in 2003 alone, one of the highest in the world. There was an incident where one mother dragged her three screaming children to their apartment balcony and threw them off one by one before she too jumped off. And numerous suicide cafes (clubs) have been formed online where people arrange a time and place where they can meet and kill themselves together. Let's not be ignorant here, Japanese are not a particularly suicidal people, stop talking as if it's written in their genes or something like that cuz it's ridiculous... I'M guessing it has something to do with their stagnant economy (although now starting to pick up pace). Living in Japan has become more and more difficult as of late. You can also attribute Korea's suicide rates to the same problem, they only started climbing rapidly AFTER the 1997 financial crisis, and still rises now because our economy has had a very difficult run since then and has never fully recovered from it. Japan in their boom period during the 80s, and Korea in their early 90s, were no more suicidal than the anyone else on the planet.
