I have read many books on World War 2, and see alot of the AMERICAN & BRITISH side on TV and in FILM, but I am interested in the what the other side has produced...

I have seen CLINT EASTWOOD'S excellent 2 films on IWO JIMA, and I'm about to watch YAMATO... but if there are any other titles out there with ENGLISH subtitles that You know of please drop Me a line or two !

"Bridge over the River Kwai". Excellent film. Another good film is "Hell in the Pacific" with Lee Marvin and Toshiro Mifune.

No film after 1980 has ever captured that era as well.

Tora Tora Tora. Boring film by modern standards, but a very meticulously crafted film that accurately portrays history.

Otoko-tachi no Yamato

The one about two chinese sisters escaping from the war in China, and one of eventually got captured by the japanese soldiers in order to save the other one. The captured sister then got raped repeatedly by dozens of japanses soldiers lined up in waiting chairs. In the end they reunited by the raped one is all fuked up psychologically.

I don't know the name of the film. Does anyone know? It's a chinese film.

Yeah, it's called "Let's Make a Movie not about WWII but about Demonizing all Japan".

There's a similar movie like that the Nazis made..it's called "Der Ewige Juden".
