Actually, I remember somebody in these forums saying how they were thinking about building a underwater railroad of some sort connecting the two countries.

it could be done with today's technology
there already is an undergroudn railroad that connects I think the UK and France. Saw it on the discovery channel few months ago

Are they seperated by ocean? I'm not "hot" on European geography. I wonder where they built this underground train station. Where is the base to hold such a thing. And isn't the ocean too deep? Nonetheless, it sounds like a cool idea, even though dangerous(probably not), to see the depths of the ocean as you move from on country to the next. I thought it would be something done on paper, but shoot, with today's technology they'd want to accomplish that.
