Why do filipino celebs never look filipino but middle eastern or latin?
Hi Tone
To me they look chinese or mixed with it. Or is this a bait thread?
FlipSides
they look middle eastern? WTF?
Kiss_the_Girls
WTF? NO way more like Latin or Hispanic.
thisguyhere
yeah i gotta agree. a lot of em look hispanic. not so much middle eastern though

There arent just Hispanic-looking celebs. There's a good mix of Hispanic, Chinese, Filipino-looking celebs, and sometimes even black and white. Look at this commercial from a Filipino network. The faces are pretty diverse, most of them dont look Hispanic:

The commercial itself seems to promote diversity because the first woman who sings looks Hispanic, and the next woman is half black.

yeah some of Filipino celebs looks like a bit Hispanic, its because the media likes celebs who are mixed with foreign blood... even with or without talent on acting/singing/dancing, people with foreign looks enter showbiz. The truth hurts sometimes...

first filopino is spelt filipino.
second this type of threads are tooo common
but this is your answer
sometimes its the pictures,
sometimes its the way they dress
and sometimes they have a bit of spanish blood. most cases like 1/8.
P. Bredahl
because many of them are half white(not spanish)/half filipino and when you mix the two you get somehting that looks like that
FilAm425
...and the full blooded pinoy celebs whiten their skin with special soap and lotion

Think of them as diamonds.

People are quickly attracted by large gems that would cast of great hues when put up against a light source. Unwittingly, some of these are fakes and they are either hoodwinked by the gem seller or ignorant of the fact that it's fake.

In contrast, they would cast (out) uncut gems thinking that it's just a regular piece of stone.

Diamonds = celebrities
Gem sellers = TV networks/"talent" scouts
People = us.
