The Criminal Police Department reported that people, who were previously involved in crimes and criminals wanted by the police, had played key role in leading the July 1 demonstration into a riot. This became clear at the interrogation to some suspects, the police say.
Among these criminals, about ten were identified wanted by the police of the UB's Sukhbaatar district. Their actions such as setting a fire to the Headquarters of Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and the Fine Arts Gallery have been proven by witnesses' testimonies and video records.
