Tibetan resident of Mongolia climbed a tree outside the Chinese embassy compound in Ulaanbaatar. T. Kalsang, whose brother was among those killed in recent unrests in Lhasa, raised a Tibetan flag in protest of Chinese dominance in the Tibet region. He was arrested
by the Ulaanbaatar police the following day. In a statement he announced to continue to protest in Ulaanbaatar despite increasing
threats to his safety. China has been subject to increasing popular protest opposing its governance of the Tibet region in the wake of the Beijing Olympics. In Mongolia, however, has not seen much vocal protest, apart from Kalsang's earlier effort of painting Free Tibet on the Chinese embassy
wall. For centuries, Tibetans and Mongolians have shared long and extensive cultural and religious traditions. Mongolia has its largest border with China and is economically dependent on its southern neighbour.

Chinese are everywhere only damn thing is they know how to show pressure. One chinese student gave a call to this Tibetian man and asked what do you want me to bring to ur family i need the address ,said. WTF

China breaks up they are sitting ducks for colonisation and no one knows if the independent states can stand on their own two feet. Forget Tibet - East Turkistan (which is actually Dzungaria) and south Mongolia should be Halh Mongolia's first targets from the Gobi and if alliance with Kazakhs can be made advance through the Tian Shan pass.

They can not help but underestimate you, because your country is so weak it is beneath contempt. Fact is, landlocked Mongolia has no choice but to play the Sino/Russian b!tch. why do you think the PRC goes all the way to Africa for raw resources when mineral rich Mongolia is right next door? It is because they know all your iron ore already belongs to them laugh.gif

It is a very bad situation for Mongolians and Tibetans UHM. Militarily we cannot stand against PRC without outside intervention.
In politics there are no true friends only people who will give u something if you have something they want in return.

THe advantage CHina has is its economy. All the large powers like US can make money by trading with China. Will they jeopardise thier economic interests to help Mongols or Tibetans who can offer them?????

All we can give to America is to be a tool to destabilise China but America will be trying to keep CHina off balance while gaining economically with China by trade so annoying CHina too much is not in Americas interests. Just pressure i think.

If there was a break from independence the only way to fight is guerilla warfare but CHina has too many troops for it to be sucessful unless there are many rebellions at the same time. Mongolia has too few people and the landscape is not good to hide to realistically sustain a guerilla unless the Uygers were also fighting at the same time along with Tibetans. Atleast the Tibetans have lots of moutains to hide.

Uygers might be able to rely on Jihad fighters from the Muslim world but we do not have that advantage nor do the Tibetans so it would have to be co-ordinated, atleast Tie. Then there is the danger the Muslims will invade Mongolia and Tibet after helping the Uygers. It is a tricky position. You cant trust anybody in politics.

Then there are the people who are enjoying stability and economy the chinese are bringing in Tibet and Mongolia at the expense of autonomy. It is a tricky game this politics but i think it is foolish to think of China as weak or that is has no friends. As long as nations are making money with trading with CHina, CHina does not have to worry about friends.

Realisitially i think building Mongolia up economically is the only wway that wont end in disaster. If Mongols fight there is good chance we could lose more land. Is turkey going to help?
