Okay I got this new great sound card but in the audio playback there's no mic option. I can't use the mic, but it turns crappy 2watt monitor speakers into the most detail crisp sounding emitters ever playing around with the included software.. Need help on the mic.

R-click the speaker icon on the bottom R-hand side of the Taskbar>Open Volume Control>Options>Properties> and make sure there's a tick in the 'Mic Volume' box.

Search the name of your sound card with 'microphone' in Google and see if someone else had the problem and fixed it.
There's a little about mic probs
here. Don't know if it's relevant.

It's a known problem. Even some NewEgg reviewers say creative knows about the no input issue... I hate this card and now know it's a fake X-Fi where the only software makes it X-Fi not like the FAtality and other real X-Fi cards...
