I'm new here and have a question: I'm looking for some information about japanese omiai, meeting someone for possible marriage. Can anyone give me the name of an agency who does that? Or doesn't it work like that and it's all private. Aren't there some companies that set up the dates?

Folks I'm searching for information, not a man or marriage. Come on, it's impossible to google thess kind of agencies (if they exist). I guess because they are propably in Japanese only... So can anyone give me serious hints?

Nah, there's love. Omiai was started by an old woman who likes to do things for others. She introduce a good guy or woman to woman or guy. So, if they like the other person, they'll date, and if they love the other person so much, they'll marry. Omiai became business recently.

I've seen in a few jdrama where they setup a big group meeting in a hotel and each person spend about 15 minutes to talk to the opposite sex then switch with another one. It's like job interview .

I'm glad I was born in asia. If I ever wanted an arrange marriage I can just give a call to my aunties back in my country . They'll drop whatever they were doing and try to find me a mate. Actually, it's more like they got nothing better to do . I remember when someone asked them to look for one and it was a f~cking chaos. They talked about this sh!t all day every day! They tried to go through even single woman in the town - she's too skinny, too fat, too flat, she smokes, she got big butt yada yada yada .
