Subic Bay is a bay forming part of Luzon Sea on the west coast of the island of Luzon in Zambales, Philippines, about 100 kilometers northwest of Manila Bay. Its shores were formerly the site of a major United States Navy facility named U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay, it is now the location of an industrial and commercial area known as the Subic Bay Freeport Zone under the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (see also, Port of Subic).

Subic Bay Story.........Rising Above The Storm - Part 1

The Subic Story is definitely very inspiring. The United States Navy left right after the devastation of Mt.Pinatubo in 1990, the place should have collapsed having the main source of jobs and income pack and go. And yet, the opposite happened, the best days of Subic is now ahead of them rather than behind them.

I think Richard Gordon would be a great president, except my vote for 2010 already goes to Roxas, even if I can't vote.

U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay

U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay was a major ship-repair, supply, and rest and recreation facility of the United States Navy located in Zambales, Philippines. It was the largest U.S. Navy installation in the Pacific and was the largest overseas military installation of the United States Armed Forces after Clark Air Base in Angeles City was closed in 1991.

Today: Subic Freeport Zone

I guess it was a good thing that the American Military left or else Subic and Clark would have never recognize their full potential.

I have nothing against Gordon. He's quite good actually, save for the fact that he's letting his personal matters affect some issues. This is the case with his grudge against Cong. Payumo. There have been projects by Cong. Payumo where Gordon keeps on blocking. Like for instance the project by Payumo for SBMA years ago. I know because I'm a resident of Bataan. Google it. This Gordon-Payumo rivalry is not hidden among people.

I already passed through SCTEx last month. It was nice because it is still new, and that no billboards are put up all over the place. I have the pics my uncle took when we were passing through. I'll upload them first and share them.

There's a McDonalds inside when it used to be a US naval base.

Anyone knows if it's still there?

I think Olongapo fits the qualification for the new capital.
