The awards ceremony took place in the evening and artists walked a red carpet into the venue. It was broadcast live on Lao TV and featured performances by Tone Anilouth, Cells, Meduzia, LOG, Sam, Nalin, Aluna, Ting Phailavanh and B-Hero.

Organisers presented a special prize to Mr Sisana Sisane, to honour him for promoting Lao art and culture. Mr Sisana is a song writer and a past Minister of Information and Culture.

You forgot to show the whole events from the forum, or you simply can't stand their appearance, with their clothing and hairstyle. Strange, where was Alexandra? or the event might be too amateur for her!

Those are all proud young Lao who have nothing to do with a shameless troll like you. Why should they dress like filipino, just to please you? No one can figure how filipino would dress like, except a hopeless filipino wannabe like yourself!

Seen you're an expert on Fillipino's culture, you should tell us more about it.

I think he was trying to imply that you were that Siri dude who was Filipino but pretended to be something else. Buddhalove was just being sarcastic about the Filipino dresses and stuff especially since you made that "too amateur" comment.

Your comments tend to be very negative whenever it comes to our community. Not always, but you do have a tendency to do that.

In my opinion, Bounxouei's music is not very catchy. I can't really remember ever seeing her on TV or in ads or anything while in Laos. She's not too popular anymore.

Nah, Savan, my comment that the event might be "too amateur"for Alexandra to attend is not even close to being a negative opinion about her, let alone about the Lao community. I have just been real. Also, I don't think BL even cares about my comment about Alexandra. He just loves trolling about anything for the sake of trolling.

But you, I have the impression you can sometimes become sensitive and somewhat take it too personally when it comes to comments from others about Alexandra that are not as "sweet" as you may hope for. Would I call that a sign of an obsessed fan?

I think you should re-read my comment. This has nothing to do with Alexandra because I was referring to the Lao community as a whole. Besides, I didn't really care about your comment anyway...I was just trying to explain to you why I thought Buddhalove made those comments about you. I was giving you a possible explanation, but we'll just have to wait and see what Buddhalove has to say as to why he said those things about you.

If you knew how to read your own comment, you'd realize that you actually didn't say anything bad about Alexandra at all...you actually implied that she was TOO GOOD for the Lao Music Awards...meaning that you thought the show wasn't good enough for Alexandra and that it would've been a waste of her time. So if anything, you're the one who's putting her on a pedestal. So don't try to twist my words around.

Unlike you, I'm not the one who's asking why Alexandra wasn't at the show. Obviously there's better music out there by other Lao artists. It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

Overall, I think you're a negative person...this is just my opinion of you so don't trip about it. We can't please everyone, right? I'm sure you and other members may have negative opinions of me but I don't care.

Yep, I re-read my comment to BL and I did/do not see anything so bad that I said about her. So, what was then the purpose of your comment below. I didn't see any relation of what you said in it and with what I said to BL in my previous message. When I read it, it's like it came from the sky, and I assume I unintentionally have said something wrong that might hurt your feeling.

That's your opinion, Savan. I think you have a bad day. To suddenly jump in like that between my discussion with BL with that kind of statement you made about me that had ABSOLUTELY nothing related to you, then you may have a problem with yourself, pal. At least try to put yourself in my place, i.e you were arguing with BL, and I suddenly jumped in and made the kind of remark on you. What would you think and react? you look for the reason why, and think there might be something wrong that you said that triggered such an unexpected reaction, right? So, you yourself may have to truly understand what "a negative person" means.

Bro, I understand what you're trying to point out but you have to realize that this is a public forum. If you wanted to have a personal one-on-one type of debate with BL, then why not do it through PM? It's apparent from your response to BL that you didn't understand why he made that Filipino comment. So guess what? I explained to you why he might've said those things. Again, we'll just let BL come in here and explain to us why he decided to associate the word "Filipino" with you. The only logical reason is that he probably thinks that you are Siri...But if I'm my assumptions are wrong, then I apologize to both BL and you. We won't know until BL responds back and let's us know why he made that Filipino comment about you.

Wilfree, I am who I am, that's fine with me since everybody has his/her own opinion about others, and it doesn't surprise me a bit that you see me or any others the way you do through your own lens.

However, it appears naive and short-sighted to just lump everybody who share your view of somethings as being positive and dismiss those who don't as being negative. It's a rather narrow-minded way of thinking that can lead to hatred and extremism. Life is much deeper and more complicated than that.

For your information, I voted for Kerry and not for Bush for my own specific reasons. But I don't assume that Kerry would have already brought more peace and economic prosperity now had he been elected, instead of Bush.

What a hypocrite, you are now playing an innocent victim? you remind me of someone who used the same hopeless method! it's so childish and fake. You are now so desperate trying to salvage the damage from your trolling craps.

All you needed to do was to act real and not like an insecure puppy trolling around just to protect his master when you can no longer argue sanely with someone. It's that simple. Don't try to talk about negative or positive when you don't even seem to have a hint of what they mean for you!

You see, when you decide not to troll you can write more than just a few words, even whole sentences [unlike your favorite .....blah blah blah... my son; ...blah blah blah....let me know if you need something else!]. Now you seem to show your true color. So I can pay more attention to what you say, get it?

Don't try to bring in the Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, etc. Every body can see by themselves there are the least trolls and, as a result, more mature and constructive discussions in those chats. They focus on mostly the discussions about issues related to their respective society and cultures. Can you say the same about Lao chat? not much.

I ask you to look at the Lao chat and Thai chat. What do you see? most of the posts concern endless arguments and trolls between Lao and Thai and most end up with the familiar insults and degradations. To the point that the Thai chat is inundated with disputes with Lao members. I feel offended when I see a Lao member going there and then directly or indirectly incite them to insult Laos and you just don't seem to care as long as you can release your insults on them.

As I can recall, you and some here went from attacking, or if you prefer "giving your lesson to" what was termed originally the dark ugly siamese, followed by the half-breed, and then currently the jek, as those names change when you guys progressively learned of the true ethnic background of those Thai members. At the end, do you know what do you really want and who and why you are really attacking? I bet for you those degrading words and expressions that you use to insult the Thai (your fellow citizen) certify someone who makes positive comments or is positive for the Lao community. On the other hand, when I dare tell you frankly you better behave with class and dignity when you argue with other Chats' members instead of trolling or provoking them to react by insulting Laos, I become a negative person for the Lao community. If I am not a Thai-hater, or Viet-, or Whoever-hater, I must be a Lao hater and Thai sympathiser.

For me, you and some of you here have a big personal problem and you try to find a scapegoat. The way you have been behaving here will not help you solve your Thai-hating problem but in the opposite will keep damaging the reputation of Lao people whom you try so desperately to associate with.

I couldn't resist so I'm gonna have to jump in. You seem to have forgotten about Nhoona, Yokie (is he Thai?), and especially Erla. They've made insulting comments and some have also created threads in Lao Chat to provoke an argument. But you're always quick to lay the blame on Lao members, but not say anything to the Thai members. Even when Erla made her rude and ignorant comments about the Lao community, when did YOU ever jump in and put her azz in check? But if a Lao member like Deejai says something insulting to the Thai members, you're so quick to jump in and defend the Thai members by insulting Lao members.

If you think you're such a positive person, then PLEASE list some threads in which you've made positive comments about our community...yeah, I didn't think so. Your negative comments outweigh your positive comments by a land slide.

Actually, you know what? You really are a positive person especially when it involves kissing up to Thai members. I'm done.

Savan, there have been so few other members who made threads in Lao chat. I recalled 1 guy who made a thread to insult Lao people and that I replied back the same way. I regretted what I did when I saw he/she posted insulting comments in other chats because I felt I let myself down to his level because he was just a joke. My philosophy is that if others made silly comments about Laos without being provoked, don't let you down with them to their level; defending Laos from those ignorant people? you have nothing earn from it. Be above them.

As for the feud between you guys and Erla regarding the SEA games at Kolaat and the origin of the khaen they showed in the mascot, of course I remember that very silly episode. It was the beginning of the deterioration of the relationship between some Thai and Lao members until now. I will tell you frankly what: it would be a shame for me to just join in and add more profanities to the dispute about the origin of the khaen, because I knew that at the end of the day it will remain clearly written everywhere that the khaen is a music instrument of the Lao people in Laos and northeastern Thailand. Would more acidic insults can change that? No.
As for Nhoona, in my opinion she is the few persons left in Thai chat who can still take the pain dealing with Lao members, instead of disappearing herself from the forum like some others before her.

Haha, my friend you are so funny. I think you applied your own definition of "positive comments" here. Don't you think only people considered as being capable of an unbiased judgement can give an acceptable opinion to that question? Just ask Obama and McCain who the two of them can bring back peace and prosperity to the US.

Actually, you know what? You really are a positive person especially when it involves kissing up to Thai members. I'm done.

You sound more and more like Deejai and BL. That's a pity. Honest!

one page of writing just go around and around denying. Dude I don't make negative comment toward Lao community as a whole like you and your siamese friends, and add khmer trolls into the list too. When Searnmoron, Nhoona, Thaitanium, Erla, EMC, Jokies posts arrogant comments about Laos, you didn't do nothing but cheering on. shrug.gif

^I admit I am no perfect too, but at least I don't take out or label my Lao people in a negative light like you Bounthy. If I have problems with people, I usually single them out or state the TRUTH that cannot be altered in any study; ig-Thai ladyboy problems.

I don't even get along w/some Lao here, like Buddhalove but it not like I take it out on everyone collectively as a community in Lao Chat. biggthumpup.gif

You forgot to show the whole events from the forum, or you simply can't stand their appearance, with their clothing and hairstyle. Strange, where was Alexandra? or the event might be too amateur for her!

So typical of Bounthy to disregard anything positive for our Lao community. Strange? Not at all. Most Lao members who been on this forum long enough know Bounthy.
