Hi, me and my gf would be going to Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo in October for a short trip. I would like to know from all those who have been to these places, or Japanese, to please share their suggestions of the most romantic and unforgettable place should a bf wants to pop the question to his special somebody. So far, these are the only places i know of.
1) Tokyo Tower
2) Hakone
3) Kiyomizu dera Temple
4) Nanzenji
5) Osaka Castle
6) Rikugien Garden
7) Odaiba
8) Disneyland
What i am most concerned is my lack of knowledge of the places in these cities. I have read so much, but it's insufficient. I need people who has been there or staying there, to please tell me where are the most romantic places available to me, and how should i go about doing it? Suggestions are deeply appreciated. Thanks.

After the 2 hour lineup and ride up there with kids and parents walking around you, maybe she'll still be in the mood to be proposed to? I guess if you go at an awkward time when no one else goes there it'd be great, suggest you figure that time out first. The temples and gardens are nice but a tad boring and cliché in Japan, there's just so many of them everywhere. Osaka Castle is boring as @$$, rebuilt after WWII the interior (and exterior) is rather artificial. Don't think you'd want to base the roots of your marriage on that :P.
Hakone near the gate would be very nice actually, I'm assuming you'd be doing this during the summer. Odaiba and Disneyland would be fantastic given she likes that kind of stuff. The most beautiful things in Japan are in nature, it's not easy to come by, you really have to go out of your way to experience it. There's a lot of nice things in Kyoto, Fushimi Inari is breath taking.
I'd say it really depends on what she enjoys. Nature? Cities? Fun kiddy stuff? Cheesily romantic?
