Most of the time there enemies of the Mongols who beat them in battle were of their own race or origin. Funny, it's true that Mongols were the best because they could only get beat by the same people who roamed on their steppes as nomadic warriors such as the Mamelukes and Bulgarian kingdoms. I usually don't defend Korea but SK is a well to do country today with high living standards, human development and high technology.

Ok, I can say the same that North Korea is one of the poorest and backwards countries in the world today at the same time as a police state. If you want to pit one half, I can pit the other. Also, economic success is not permanent and these things come and go. That is why when American goes broke and becomes a backwards Latino infested nation, they at least can say they had a MASSIVE influence in world history compared to other rich nations like Belgium or South Korea.
