That's for San Miguel to decide. I suggest they The Cojuanco's should corner the African market, or buy out the Spanish San Miguel. The thing is I don't know if SanMig can compete with Corona.
there's approximately 200,000 filipinos in united kingdom alone and roughly the same numbers of filipino diaspora throughout the rest of europe. so,for filipinos like me who want to taste something from home,i would certainly choose san miguel pale pilsen or red horse etc in shops as opposed to competitors - i think with the population of filipinos i've mentioned,we can safely say it would have a good foundation of customers? not to mention its
superior taste and presumably
low cost as well (if brewed here),which i'm sure will attract new customers.
the new and cheaper polish beers which have been newly introduced, are currently enjoying unprecedented growth in sales here in the UK. so,why can't pinoy beers? which taste even better and i'm not being biased here as i've tried polish beers and they tend to be stronger but lack in taste.
there's no need to be a direct competitor of corona beer,as they tend to specialized in "light beer" whilst the san miguel have a very diverse range of beers.
can you tell why the african market is a good proposition? considering its usually poor infrastructure and a question mark on its target customers, compare to europeans who are more hardcore drinkers, especially around eastern europe all the way to russia.
the spanish san miguel is a disgrace copycat as far as i'm concerned.
i'm merely suggesting with points that i feel worthwhile to risk,i don't really know if the word "risk" is the proper word to use considering the turnover and profit margin of san miguel corporation is the hundreds of millions of dollars.
