I wouldn't say the Cham and Khmer were weaklings. I read somewhere the Cham sacked the capital modern day Hanoi a few times. Furthermore, most of the war with Vietnam they started it first. Anyways that's irreverent, What Vietnam did to Cambodian and Cham people was during the bloody age of conquest. Stop using a woman tactic of guilt trip on me, it doesn't work. And stop taking things out of context. We live in a new age, an age where international laws is established. China is a member of the U.N correct? If so international laws stated that you can no longer going around conquering new land. However, your government probably have a another version of history about those islands so lets not go there. Although, deep inside you know those claims are b.s and certainly you know your cases is laughable that is why your government refused to settle it in international court.

There is no such thing as good or evil those are just simply label you give them. If something is bad for you or un-beneficial you label it as evil or bad, if something is beneficial you will label it as good. With that being said, China's move is dishonorable, it's against international laws which China is a member of. China is untrustworthy because she won't take it to international court. I think she's a lair, I don't trust a woman that's lie too much.

I already explain to you why you're a fake peace maker who acts like a saint but support China's ambition. I guess in term of the political manipulative language ;peace means war; Ignorance mean strength; nationalism means bigotry; Compromise means submission. So when you say you want peace you actually want war. When you say you want diplomatic solution you actually mean Vietnam must submit to China's will.

1. Both countries have claims, don't expect china to give in a bit, it's won't happen.
2. This problem can be solved peacefully, or not, it's up to vietnam.
3. Consider current power balance, a non-peaceful solution is probably the worst outcome for vietnam.

It's not up to Vietnam to solve it peacefully. China is the one refusing to settle in court ,instead , she uses intimidation (example: shooting our fishermen), also, military and economic threat. It's fine, as long as they pay us the fair price. Just sit and enjoy China fighting with Russia, USA, Korea, Japan, Philippine, Thailand, Indonesia .... But we should keep on building a strong army so we could stab our little brother in the back when we dont need him anymore

I just heard that Russia is considering coming back to CamRanh bay. Last time they paid about 300 million dollars/year to rent it. Nowaday, they are planning on upgrading all the submarine and warships ports. If China keeps pressing, well, I think we should let somebody keep things in order. Now, let's hear it from the Chinese members here of how they are going to face Russian warships. Now, you can see they start talking about "peace", about "non-violence", especially to someone who have stronger power than they are. They only dare to brag to other smaller countries.
And if I remember it correctly, this is not the first time the Chinese said they want to teach Vietnam a lesson and it was always the other way around.

I don't know why everybody here is getting so worked up. For starters no chinese newspaper said that this was obviously false news that was drummed up by a bored little child who wanted to create a rift between us. None of this is actually true for god sakes.
