Hi people..

Well i am a newbie to this forum .

some have a bad opinion on indians/indian historians(accused of taking 100% credits on everything or so).

Iam an indian but cannot comment on it,since Iam not a solid historian and i don't have any inormation to prove either way(who has?)

I dont know what made poeple to get such opinion .and it was also discussed that the indians are pissed since most wonderful hindu temple is in angkor and not in india .
Come on,if ur relative wins an award in an competition ,will u b pissed or proud?

And everyone is proud about their own history, who is not...and if not all, we are relatives afterall(so says the history)...

So my intention is not to defend on the indian side for the accusations since i dont know the cause and source of that and also the resource to do so .(and who knows wht all confusions those men/women in history did to confuse the future generation..us)

I am into this project involving nandivarman II (pallavamalla parameshwara) and his commander in chief udayahcandran.
In tamil history it is stated that Nandivarman was the son of kambujea king bhimavarman who was a descendant of pallava king simhavishnu(the later pallava king who reestablished pallava rule in southindia from kalabhras)

i suppose most would have a idea about that story.
the king parameshvara varman not having a direct lineage of heir so the wellwishers had to look for some indierct pallava lineage.
made a journey to kambujea and asked bhimavarman who had four sons.
the first three rejected the offer and the fourth son who was then just 12 years old accepted the offer.

he left kambujea in 736 A.D to india n pursueded as th pallava king and ruled like a real monarch with his commander in chief udayachandran's aid.(there are proofs for this from the copper plate inscriptions and one temple stone inscription at present bearing the name of uyyakondan(udayachandran) from kambujea as nandivarmans thalapathy(commander in chief).

Now the story during the nandivarman n udayachandran's entourage is not quite sufficeint for me since they spend early 12 years in kambujea.
so if any body can help me with the details of the history during that time.

thank you in advance

Welcome to the Khmer forum, Iniyamalar. This is new information to me. In fact, I don't even know that there was a prince from Kamboja who wore the title as the "Palla King". I do know this much that the Khmer people do not called their Indian relatives as "Indian" at all but as "Kleng" instead. This refers to the Kalinga people who intermixed with the Khmer people in the ancient past. I believe the Kalingas were mostly males but the Khmer seen to favor the "Kleng beauty" above all else. Let me do some searching on your topic.

I reas this long ago, and too could not believe of such history.

Pramasvera did leave Kambuja to rule southen then India Kalinga. Was he the same blood line of the varman? Wasn't he assasinated?

The Varman Dynesty at that time had prince installed in Southern India, Northern, southern Kambuja(Chenla water and land), Champa, and Sri Vijaya.

Could parameshvara varman be from the other Kamboja, that of Kashmir?

Hi Malar, I recommend you to study the language is being used across the region of Chola mandala coastal area in India, In-do-China bordering countries like Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam and other ASE-AN Island countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Java, Sumatra etc during the period of Ashoka till 13th century.

You will find many interesting facts that they had a very close maritime trade relationship as well as marital relationship among the kings/queens ruling these regions until 13th century. To reestablish the old time trade relationship with among the ASE-AN nations, Indian PM Dr Manmohan Singh has recently announced few projects connecting them by Road and Rail
