My friend Amphone Souphanya is in real trouble here in Lao PDR. The communists think he is an American spy or something like that. I can't give too many details without endangering his security and I am not able to contact him at this moment. I want to contact his father or family in the USA to see if they can pull some strings to help their son. I don't know anything about Amphone's folks back home (in the USA), but I remember that Amphone told me he graduated from a high school in Connecticut so perhaps his folks hang out there? I don't know. If anybody has the name and phone number of Amphone's father please send to me by PM.

Actually the commies ain't so bad, but instead of keeping his head down, Amphone made the mistake of trying to do business with them and they don't do business the way it's done in the USA! In the USA when you pay money you get something like a Big Mac or Ford Mustang. In Laos you get out of jail (if you're lucky).
