Spanish-Philippine War(filipinos were actually winning the ground war) then US took advantage and took most of the credit

Korean Soldiers throughout history have been of top quality
Vietnamese Soldiers throughout history have been of top quality
Martian Soldiers throughout history have been of top quality
Eskimo Soldiers throughout history have been of top quality
Native Indian Soldiers throughout history have been of top quality

and the list goes on

Filipinos aren't extinct, the war in Mindanao and with the communist NPAs has been going on for who knows how long coz it's Filipino against Filipino; you can find Filipinos in every country and the US has a sizeable amount of Filipinos in its military.

Filipinos don't just fight in wars, we take over.

Same can be said with koreans and japanese and africans and canadians and mexicans US has a sizeable amount of them in its military.

Its never the soldiers which are the question. As the saying goes any mothers son will do. Its the leadership the national character which is the difference. If leaders are chosen solely by whose son they are without the ethtic of self sacrifice like the British Officer class developed the troops will fail.
