Everything except watching NBC commentators whine.

Oh wait, whining is not an Olympic Sport. If it was, US would have the gold medal biggthumpup.gif

It's frustrating how they always go to commercial when the beach volleyball game has a timeout or break. thumbsdown.gif I never get to see those cheerleading dancers perform.

But seeing that one russian kid on the american team do them badass fleers on the pamol horse was fu-kin' awesome...too bad he messed up during the individual pamel horse competition.

I used to love watching the boxing event, even when theres no Filipino fighters involved. Im a huge boxing fan but since the late 90's, amateur boxing have really became an absolute slap fest. The new rules and scoring system, the shorter round, have made it a crappy fight to watch. They arent really boxing, theyre just moving away and slapping and moving away. Then when they get a good enough lead, the leading boxer just runs and holds for dear life. And thats coming from a guy who can withstand watching Sven Ottke and a 40 yr old Hopkins fight for 12 rounds. But the amateur boxers of today just suck. They arent there to fight, theyre just there to slap and run.

But back to the topic, I also like the track events. Especially the 4x400 relay. I do hate the pole vault, the high jump and the discus throwing but aside from those, Im usually glued on the oval field during these games.

The Olympics should employ the 10-point per round boxing system with 10 rounds each fight.

Let's lobby the future Olympics to add Escrima as an Olympic sport. This would help Filipinos have a chance at medals contention.

Having the 10 point must system could be the way to solve that but that type of scoring can really make for controversial results. Just look at the Jones Jr 88 Seoul Finals. If that was done with the current points system, then Jones wouldve won by a mile. But it does make it more open for some hometown cooking. Although it would make the fights better to watch IMO.

And having them fight 10 rounds each would be asking too much. These guys would be fighting around 3- 5 times during a tourney and having to face the possibility of fighting 30 - 50 rounds in a 3 - 4 day span would be just murder embarassedlaugh.gif
