Intel has developed wireless electricity. No more wires. NO more plugging in. The future is looking bright.
unattractiveguy
How do they do it?
Hi Tone
it was invented at MIT last year

Just like nuclear power ... disaster to come later.
Instead of sending electric power, they send magnetic power then convert it to electric.
What about all the cancer clusters near power lines?
Power lines with their electro-magneticrays of death.
Don't tell me that you can isolate electric from magnetic ...
the two are different faces of the same thing.

The future really does look bright ... if you're the one who develops the cure to cancer.

I thought Tesla Invented wireless electricity 100 years ago.
Hi Tone
yeah it's an old technology, but finally got it working

yeah i pretty sure the tesla coil has been around for like some time now. this is nothing intresting other than the fact that its been picked up buy a large company.

and cancer rates will go up twenty five billion percent

This is going to be fun to watch. I might get into it though, certified CA journeyman electrician icon_smile.gif.

gotta go back to school every 4 years. or was it 2? anyway thats like 30k you have to use up. well unless your job pays for it. thats the only downside of labor unions.

wtf, I ain't in no union, I despise them :-/.. I also have a degree in electrical/electronics engineering anyway, so it doesn't matter if I lose my license... Its every 3 years to renew by the way icon_smile.gif. Just gotta keep working like 2k hours in the field and take 32 hours of continuing education credits. That blows, I don't wanna be an electrician forever....

and more people getting electrocuted. LOL.

Despite technological advancments buying a wireless solution off the shelf is not a sound and secure way to promote and install wireless in your office environment. Depending on the size of your office you could have some dead spots and if you are unsure how WiFi works you could be leaving your network open to WiFi theives who have the tools to sniff out and find open and/or weakly secured Wireless networks which they could then use as a "Hot Spot" or worst they now have an entry into your network and can gain access to your valuable data.

hah cure to cancer, those of you who saw i am legend must remember the name of the doctor that came up with the "cure" to that hah!
and yeah imagine how u'd find some unsecured power source in some poor saps neighbourhood... who knows? his bills might go up, and yes cancer is incomming xD

Would this destroy my children count in anyway?

I just don't want them microwaved or anything...

I wanna know how it works!

This is cool.

if that is truly implemented on a mass market scale, my money is going toward Faraday cage companies biggrin.gif

can anyone explain how it works?

is it Tesla coil put to use?

1stly, Are we not enjoying benefits of nuclear power? The downside is only when you ignore the risks.
2ndly, Cancer cluster near power lines is a myth. There are many fields not taken into consideration, such as social status.
3rdly, Power lines generate a 60-120hz EMR, which are non-ionizing, thus, will not cause any problems to a human, or any life form. The 60-120hz EMR is so weak, that even visible light is FAR more powerful.
lastly, Electron has an electric charge, yet, while stationary, generates no magnetic field.

And your prophecy is based upon what knowledge?

How does it work?

3 ways
1. Induced Motion: Most likely to vibrate the magnet on one end at a specific frequency, which would begin to accelerate the magnet on the other end, at the same frequency. The motion of second magnet could generate electricity
2. Induced Current: Vibrate one magnet near a solenoid on the other end, inducing a current
3. Sends out EMR which is picked up by a receiving antenna, then channeled into a transformer, and capacitor bank to stabilize the current.

1stly, Didn't the gov't limit the number of nuclear power plants?
Any new ones being built???? Down side is continued use and living near one.

2ndly, Please go live near a power line and then tell me that it's fine.
Myth? The statistics are a myth??? People living near power lines have a higher rate of cancer.
Really?? Myth?? Please go tell that to the sick kids or their parents.

3rdly, Electron, while stationary??? You can find a stationary electron???? embarassedlaugh.gif
Do you know what an EM pulse is? It has almost no cycles ...
and yet it can blow apart all of your electronic equipment
and if you stand near ground zero, it will scramble your brains

Life is full of distortions ... please, I don't need yours beerchug.gif
