i've had this is on my mind for a while, after seeing monuments that were dedicated to the suffering that people had to go through around the world. i know in kambo we have monuments to remember those who were victims of the khmer rouge regime. but what about a monument for the khmer refugees who went to the camps near the thai border. i was thinking of something like a statue on one of the mountains in kambo near the thai border, may be on a summit of a mountain near preah vihear. the statue would be something like a mother, father with their kids looking towards the thai border where those refugees camps were. i want to dedicate that monument to the refugees who had to go through the hard ships of being in a refugee camp. the hard ship & suffering they had to put up with, the crap they got from the thai millitary.

the monument is to make sure that what they had to go through is not forgotten & to honour those who tried their best to look after their family in a bad situation.
i also want to dedicate it to the people who helped us out like the u.n & red cross. the monument would'nt be just for khmer, coz even the lao & vietnamese folks ended up along the thai border in the refugees camps as well. it don't matter where you were from, every body still went through the same hard ship & suffering. the trauma of having to leave your family & your homeland.
i think there got to be some kind of monument dedicated to those refugees, to know that what they had to go through is not forgotten & to honour those who tried their best to look after their family in a bad situation. to the f**ken pricks who mistreated the refugees, i hope karma gets you real soon & get you good.
