TOKYO —

Yamaha Motor Co said Monday it will establish a motorcycle production plant in Cambodia jointly with Toyota Tsusho Corp and a Cambodian firm, with operations scheduled to start next July. Yamaha and other companies launched a new company in Phnom Penh on Sunday for the plant, it said, adding the new company will begin operations Oct 1.

Yamaha will put up 70% of the starting capital of $11.5 million, or 1.2 billion yen, for the new company, Yamaha Motor Cambodia Co, and Toyota Tsusho will provide 20%. The remaining 10 percent will be provided by Kong Nuon Import & Export Co, Yamaha said. Asia Motors Co, a joint venture company between Toyota Tsusho and Kong Nuon, has been assembling and marketing Yamaha's motorcycles in Cambodia since March last year.

but I think it's just assembling Co not manufacturing Co.
If there are any investment in Moto or Car manufacturing, it'd be great.

Hey guys,
If the manufactured or assembled products are good as in quality and gas consumtion, I would smuggle it to Laos and can sell it cheaper and make good profits.
Nikkie_nid
Are they going to manufacture Motorcycle only?

Yamaha motorbikes may be expensive to Cambodian people. My brother bought one for 10,000$ but sold afterward.
