I much prefer CYE.

I'm looking for new shows to watch. I've sank as low as Desperate Housewives just to get some form of serialized entertainment.

I watched the first season, and then lost interest.
Most shows lose their flavor after the first ten episodes. Even good shows like House get repetitive and boring if you watch them one after the other.
I tend to watch a couple episodes of a show, move on to another show, watch a few episodes, move on to another, and maybe then I come back to the first show. Of course that's never good if the show has some sort of consistent storyline you have to remember but it at least keeps the shows interesting.

That's why British series are awesome because they are short but sweet.
