We know Malaysia tried to copy some of our economic policies like EPF, infrastructure hub idea etc....
Howabout other asian nations?
Is China's coastal cities trying to imitate Singapore's model of development?

no, a highly regulated, prudent, free market economy with socialist tendencies... much like what the US is heading for in the midst of this Wall Street crisis biggrin.gif

No offense, but one of my singaporean friend said this funny sentence:

"Give me a country with size similar to singapore with same strategic location, I'd do even better job than any PM Lee"

singapore government officials get million dollar salaries to curve corruption. Good luck replicating that model

Yeah, i often wonder why we had to institutionalise the corruption by paying them ministers million dollar salaries. But then, if the ministers got bribes and kick-backs, maybe we won't have sovereign wealth funds to invest in the United States blue chip firms..???

What else for Australia should copy cat some of Singapore's infrastructure models? I do not understand what type of infrastructure you meant. If physical infrastructure, then the space and topography are the major factors. I thought Australians prefer their huge single storey houses and bungalows with surrounding green lawn area, then box shaped apartment. If others like policy, law etc please elaborate.
