its funny that i have a cousin who actually hates filipinos, though she is a fullblooded pinoy... she told one time that she never intend to marry a filipino because FILIPINOS ARE UGLY??? and she thinks she's white??? if she weren't a woman, baka nagulpi ko na sha...
by the way, one of my "better" amgirl friend told me that there are 2 types of pinoys in san diego: the ones like my cousin, and the ones who are proud of being kayumanggi... (lyk in apldeap's lyf story)

Yes.. noong ma - station kami sa Hawaii ang daming Pilipina na sabi.. " Oh, I am sorry I dont' speak your Languages, I was born and raise here Waikiki".. noong I order foods sa restaurant.. Tapos noong magpunta ako sa Bathroom I saw and hear her talking fluent tagalog with her co - workers.. Then I go back to my table and telling my husband.. That waitress make me feel sick and puke.. So when she come back to our table my husband for almost 18 years.. Orders some foods and he speak in Tagalog.. Then she asked my husband like : " Do you know how to speak our Languages ( with the accent of Taglogs sarap batuhin ng baso )
then my husband's responces said: " Yes!.. I was born and raise in the Philippines.. " napahiya siya kasi Blue eyes and light brown hair ang asawa ko dahil Americano siya.. nakaka-inis ang mga ganoon klaseng Pilipina.. mapag- kunwari.. Kaya ako iyan ang pinaka-turn -off ko sa lahat.. minsan tuloy binara ko at sabay sabing.. Oh nagala - Social Climber ka na naman.. Paki baba mo nga iyang kunyari ay dugong banyaga ( Foriegners) mo..

I too have had experiences with fil-ams
A friend of my parents who moved to the US and raised his family once came over to visit us--he brought his daughter over. She was a little older than me..and felt oh so superior.
Her hair was streaked and she wore certainly different clothes from me-- having grown up in New York all her life--
she could speak Tagalog but refrained from doing so.
anyway--i remeber that she was such a racist--i found it very weird to be racist against yoru own race :shakes head:
she'd insult and make negative comments about the way we did things and the way we spoke englsih-- i was like duh, di naman English ang native language natin no!!
I also experienced the same thing --but it this fil-australian girl instead--her mother was pinay--but her Dad was australian--
omg-- she complained so much about the food--and how it was so disgusting over here..
i felt like stickign her in a box and shipping her back to australia!
