Japanese & Chinese Students Fight In Shanghai Stories about this are already deleted from Chinese forums, but ChinaSmack has the stories translated into English and posted onto the site:
From Tianya, “Shanghai International Studies University: Japanese students and Chinese students fought violently” (no longer accessible):
At present, the police, including the special police present, have already dispatched 10 police vehicles to maintain order, and the gathered crowd has just dispersed.
On October 20, 2008, about 10 P.M., over ten Japanese students were getting drunk and causing a disturbance in the school square. Their noise could be heard from every corner of the campus, which made the boys living on the 9th floor of the boy’s dormitory extremely upset. To protest against the Japanese, the 9th floor students sprinkled some water on the Japanese, resulting in the ten Japanese directly charging into the dorm to beat the two boys so severely that they had to be sent to the hospital.
After the beating, the 10 Japanese immediately fled the dorm room, and the students who heard the news immediately rushed downstairs to confront the Japanese students. At the time, the situation was chaotic. The police immediately dispatched special police to escort and evacuate over 10 Japanese from the school. Not only was the square swarming with patriotic students, I estimate there were approximately several hundred people. Over 10 police vehicles came one by one to maintain order, with everyone standing around watching each other for about 20 minutes.
Under the direction of several students, the students sang the national anthem, marching to the international guest house [the dormitory for international/foreign/study abroad students] to continue their protest against Japanese people. However, the police blocked off the entrance to the international guest house. At this time, we could see Koreans also hanging up their Korean flag. As the student protests increased, there were some foreigners upstairs in the international guest house (it was too dark to see clearly) throwing glass bottles down, causing the situation to escalate…only after the person in charge of the school immediately put forward that the first three students who knew what happened come forth and communicate with the Japanese did the university students calm down and behave themselves.
Over 2 hours later, the matter finally quiet down…at the time there were people using cameras and video cameras to film, which will probably be uploaded onto the internet soon.

Ryuji, the song was designed to remind all Chinese that Japan must be exterminated as the final goal. It's all Chinese's duty to work toward that goal, and if you pay enough attention, you'll notice it...

That's because China's national anthem is 100x better than your 'Kimi Ga Yo' bull$hit of a national anthem that sounds more like a funeral song than an actual song that raises patriotic spirits in people- that's why Japanese never sing it, because it's simply a crap national anthem.
It talks about moss growing on rocks, goddamn MOSS growing on damn ROCKS.

your japanese national anthem does suck. and someone was right, it does sound like a funeral, i've heard it before and it just sucks. sounds boring as hell and sounds like your country is trying to survive and move on with life after being nuked by an atomic bomb.
chinese national anthem is much better, even if you don't understand it, it's very patriotic and very majestic and ranks as one of the best sounding anthems(Soviet Union, United States have great ones). chinese people sing it out loud with pride, something sadly japanese can't do because your anthem sucks.

And singing the national anthem was understandable. It is a moral boost. Is that or sing red east, or Dragon decendant or chant long live china.
I suspect the crowd was not satisfly since the police protect the Japanese, so they march to the international guest house. Is funny that some of the koreans show their flags cause they were afriad to be targeted as Japanese.

Maybe You should read about your own history, oh wait, sorry u cant because ur government advirstise anything that is related to past japanese atropies as unpatroitc and anti-japanese. You see I research my own history and freely discuss these topics that are critical to Japan past aggresion meanwhile you japanese are too brainwashed by the japanese patrotic movement to even regonise the acts of Nanking, the confront women all aross asia, and the wrong doinging of collolization of east Asia.
Of coures I do not expect you to counter argue these point, You will just come back and accuse me of communist agents, or how my comments are all properganda, or how Nanking didnt exsist but competely adnoring the fact that the war did. I also expect you to talk about freedom and democracy while u are at it, when Japan has beem effectivley been rule by the same party for the past 60 years. I also expect you to talk about TW and Tibet but comepletely adnore the fact that they are chinese internal affairs and are none of your bussiness. Of coures I also expect you to randomly bash communism or socialisim when in reality, u prolly do not understand the real meaning of both polictical theory. You prolly look at picture of USSR and cuba and assoociate Communism with 3rd world countries when the USA and Japan are both partical socilism societies manage by the lobbist that represent the business co-operates.
So tell me yamamoto, do still wish to openly bash how China is always wrong because they are chinese, and how japan is always right because you are japanese? Cause the same old arguement is getting so old, and will eventually lead to mutiple chinese AFers Vs japanese nationalist bashing eachother on this forum.
A word of advise, yamamoto: open your eyes and regonise the change of power before its too late. Your tiny island of Japan only gets to be Asia number 1 for 100 years because we the Chinese was loyally screw by the Qing, the EU unfair treaties, the Japanese invasion, and the chinese civil war. Now that we dont have to deal with those 4 fu-kers, you and your japanese friend are in no position to demand anything from us. You should even urge ur government to appologise to the Chinese for starting WW2 just like the german councils to erase this hate. Or else, you island will suffer immensely via political soft power, or milliterary hard power.

It's rather sad that the rivalry's come to this. The Japanese and Chinese are equals - there is no denying the incredible resourcefulness and ingenuity of the Japanese since the Meiji era, and likewise there is no denying the rich and enduring legacy of the Chinese in ancient times and after Mao. Neither side can really be considered greater.
This petty fighting is just not constructive when there are bigger fish to fry in the world. Stupid penis contests.

yes, it is sad. I want better relationships with the Japanese as well......the Japanese ruined it. World War 2, Nanjing massacre, refusal to compensate ww2 victims, history, etc....

I agree with you that relationship could have been better. Infact if japan was actually more peaceful then ambition, relationship would be much better.
But I disagree with you that Japan and China are equal. No 2 countries in the world are equal. One is always better then the other. The difference may be limited as in the case of britian and France. Or the differences can be huge like canada and the USA. Japan has been the better nation for the past 100 or so years. Thanks to qing dynasty, foriegners occupations, and Mr Mao. But many would agree that for the next 100 years, China will surpass Japan dramatically primary due to the differences in size. When we assume that one day china's currency readjust itself, the 1.4 billion population with 70-80% of them within middle class range or higher will make alot of differences. It is basic mathematics. So, you cant say japan and china are equal from an economics and milltary power perspective. However, I guess u can midly put it that japan and china have many common grounds for co operations instead of cometitions. But that really relies on resovling the hate for the past 100 years.
The hate for the first japanese invasion, (Ming dynasty er) was resovle becuase the aggresor (japan) was defeated by koreans, and chinese forces. But the ww2 defeat was brought down by American. It was the american that occupied japan and forces japan to sign defeat treaty (unequal treaties I must say) to turn them into American clinet state. In other word, japan surrender to american, not china, not soviet. So to this day, the Japanese are still thinking of a superior complex of being the top dogs in asia but under americans. That attitude will be force on to them to change when China over take japan during the next 4 years in terms of GDP. Such event will force the general japanese into an identity crisis in which they willl have to live with being 2nd in Asia.
Actually, now that i think about it, Japan has mostly been 2nd in Asia after ww2 since tecnically the USSR is the 2nd most powerful states in the world untill 1989.

just shove it and move out of the way japan. china will be the dominant economic, military, space and technological power in the Eastern Asian continent. And there's nothing Japan can do about it.
When all the Asian countries come to china instead of japan because of your unforgivable and unapologetic world war 2 history, we will get our revenge, not in a barbaric savage way like the japanese did, but japan will become's china's b!tch in terms of economic and political power.
japan will become asia's most notable " irrelevant, insignificant and unimportance" and second class power.

I've met many Japanese in school they always fall into these categories:
1. The clueless new guy: This particular Japanese will walk around campus, with a small backpack where he would hold the straps with both of his hands, he will either look around with a clueless expression on his face whilst he shuffles around, or he would walk fast whilst glaring at his shuffling feet like he's walking down some alley way in ghetto town.
2. The Western Culture Wannabe: This Japanese would walk around throwing gangsta symbols to the blacks, he'll wear his stupid bandana and a tank-top and swagger around like he's hot $hit, or he dresses like he's a punk rocker or something hardcore guitar player like Gackt or Alice Nine- but watch his composure change immediatley when you ask what time it is, the wannabe will immediatley revert to the embaressingly apologetic, overtly reserved Japanese boy that bow's his head every nano-second.
3. The Anti-Social guy: Well- it's obvious- we always know what anti-social Asians are like. Japanese usually fall into this category.
That's pretty much it.
Once you see one Japanese guy and his mannerisms, you have seen them all.

I've been to Japan many times, met lots of Japanese people. Lots of Japanese people are great, but unfortunately, you're not one of them. Most Japanese people I've met are pretty cool, and they wouldn't waste their time posting inflamitory comments in a Chinese message board.
Tell me, Yamamoto, would you react like this if it were American students angry at Japanese? I bet you wouldn't say $hit if it were white Americans. You would just shut up and take it like a b!tch because that would re-affirm your notions of white superiority.
That's one thing that I just couldn't get over while staying in Japan. Almost every single Japanese person, even the nice people, believe that white = superior. To a Japanese, abuse from white people is acceptable, even "right", but any type of disrespect from other Asians and your inner arrogance comes out. And as for blacks, don't even try that white liberal race-bating! Go watch some black-on-Japanese porn you love so much and lament the fact that you weren't born white or black.
