Trapped inside this room.

Loneliness covering my thoughts,

wondering just what to do,

trying to find a way to you,

to feel your warmth anew.

Hours pass feeling like ages,

waiting for you to appear,

unknowing if your well,

sick,

hurt,

or alone.

Mind unable to withstand,

the pain of not knowing,

when i can see you again.

The sun slips away,

as a new night flows,

darkening the sky.

Depressed thoughts linger,

remembering the times,

when you were hurt,

and being unable to help,

but worse off all,

being completely ignorant of the fact.

Tears swell,

unable to fall,

unable to forget,

unable to respond,

to the guilty mind that plagues me.

Remembering when you told me,

sad, but somehow relaxed.

The joy i felt,

of helping at all.

So this night i will not linger on the past no more,

look forward to tomorrow,

a bright day,

for you to guide my way.
