18+ i.e. uni age - teachers who are naturally boring, the type who don't even attempt to make the subject interesting. Those and the ones who give you a ridiculous amount of work as if you're not studying any other modules.
16+ i.e. 6th form/college age - aside from the above, not a clue. But then none of my teachers smelled like fags.

I had a student today correct my MLA citation. I told her that MLA had changed within the last year. It hasn't.

lol I'm still working on admitting I'm wrong in class. It's just that the way students point out that you're wrong sometimes comes off so assholish that my natural reaction is to tell them they're wrong.

Haha yes I do. I actually swallowed my pride & emailed the entire class letting them know exactly why the student's correction was right and my original answer was wrong. Gave them the whole, "Professors are people too, and they sometimes make mistakes, so don't assume that everything I tell you is the gospel truth." I also told the girl that she gets 2 bonus points for her proper correction. :P

They do that in my uni. I think they really want you to learn a lot from what time you spend with them. And they expect you to suck it up and do it.

so you didn't have the balls to wait for the next meeting and tell the entire class about that face to face?

you'll do better and now when that happens to me..i'll know what to do,...

No I mean work to the extent where you literally do not have the time. Not just a heavy workload, a stupid one because there aren't that many hours in a day.

the kind of teachers who quote fact after fact and expect us to know / take them on board once, if there's no engagement with the class then its phail for the teacher in my books, u do know over half of the new learner teachers in the UK failed to achieve a basic mathematics pass on a standard assement exam

Never really liked teachers, because very few can sustain my attention for more than 30 minutes. After which I start doodling my plans for world domination.
