Contrary to wapanese (western otakus), I was wondering what Japanese view of Chinese-Americans and Korean-Americans who have grown within the US or some western world??

In most forums of Final Fantasy, Tales of symphonia, or other games/anime, most of these guys will sooner tell you that they are westerners of asian decent that takes interest in Japan and generally bears no grudge at least not to the level their ancestors do, while some tends to look for a tolerable future.

However it seems that Japan has already put some official label on all asians regardless of your political and financial status.
Seems like the relationship is only one way.

I think the ranking system goes like this in Japan:

1) Western Otakus
2) Korean Otakus
3) African Otakus
4) Chinese Otakus

and once in a blue moon its a Japanese-American otaku, weird but true and has happened as they are considered to have been "contaminated with western propaganda".

0takus are weird in general. Korean and Chinese are okay with me though, but otakus are just weird.

Otaku kids are generally all weird, no matter where there from, that aside, I have Chinese friends and my GF is a Korean Fob, i have no problem with any other asians at all.

Generally younger generations from China, Japan & Korea don't have problem with socializing.
Besides I even have best friends from Japan, Korea and Malaysia.

For some reason I can't socialize with Indonesians.

I guess otakus are all the same, regardless of their ethnicity... shrug.gif

Same here. If I didn't have a vagina, my penis would resemble a usb cable.

Doesn't otaku mean 'fanatic'? It implies an unhealthy obsession.

The Western anime fanbase has co-opted the term into something more benign (ala geek), so it's important to define whether you refer to otaku in the original sense or in the Western sense.

I cringe whenever I hear anyone refer to themself as an otaku.
