Hello everyone,

My name is Lawrence B. Pajel. I am currently an active duty U.S. Navy sailor on board the USS Princeton (CG-59), stationed off of 32nd St. Naval Base here in San Diego, CA. I may choose to be stationed elsewhere a few years from now. I was born in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. when I was 10 years old. I continued my schooling here and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from a small private college in Burlington, North Carolina (Elon Universtiy). You can check out the school at www.elon.edu. I would like to speak and write in tagalog, however, I have been exposed to the North American culture for quite some time and have not been able to speak the language. I understand most of it. I'm just a little rusty. I joined the U.S. Navy several months after I graduated and have been in service for a year now this coming October. I will be taking leave this December and will be travelling back to the Philippines on vacation with my family and relatives. I haven't been back since I moved here. I look forward to flying home. I also look forward to joining your discussions here on the site.
