It seems to me that only Fil-ams are so interested in learning about the history of their ancestors. My friends and relatives in R.P. seem not to mind at all when I talked to them about the find in Surigao. They were not excited. If I could only kill them. I wonder what could make them have some interest.

Usually only people who are into cultural things care about such things. In this modern world it seems more people care less about culture and more about the new models of Cellular phones. laugh.gif

Fil-ams r clueless about our culture actually,,,they look at polynesian culture and claim that is their culture embarassedlaugh.gif
tamang hinala
yeah most fil-ams don't even now much about Philippines... thats why they acknowledge that they are pacific islanders which is wrong.

but i know some fil-ams are still interested on things like this...
Piso

tamang hinala since you're in R.P. you're in the better position to cultivate interest among Filipinos about the Find in Surigao. Can you make a topic like this in the internet over there that's most visited by Pinoys? They need to know the value of this one... if I'm not mistaken, some of the items in the Find were lost due to the ignorance of the guys who first stumbled on them. To be honest with you guys, the history books I read in R.P. about pre-spanish phil was like a legend to me back then coz there was no tangible proof. At least now it's here.....I'm so proud man.

exactly.

but lots of Filipinos is more interested on cellphones instead of things like this. They outnumbered the people who really value these treasures. icon_sad.gif

I don't even saw this on news until i saw a topic about this before, even the recent find in Intramuros where an ancient script inscribed in a pot was discovered was not even shown on news, instead local news would show the latest events in showbiz. thumbsdown.gif

I'm still trying to find a pic of that "ancient script" probably Alibata
